Intro to Me
Hello, my name is Ashley and I am looking to inspire people and help them achieve their workout goals. I recently lost about 75 pounds. I was overweight and not happy with my life style. As a freshman basketball player, I faced a knee injury. I had surgery to correct the injury
but recovery was long and required hard work. The following year I played, but
as my junior year came along I re-injured my same knee. I was told if I kept
playing I could severely injure my knee or even have abiding effects. I didn't
know a life without basketball; I went into some unhealthy eating habits and
worked out rarely.
Now I wish to help others achieve their goals while I make new ones to achieve on my own. I hope to truly influence people for the better and help them find the beauty within yourself.
After about 10 months without
basketball, I gained a considerable amount of weight. I looked at myself in the
mirror and I wasn't contented with who I had became. So, I started to
differentiate my life and turn it around completely. I changed my eating
habits, exercised, and became a person I had never seen before. After losing a
little more than 75 pounds, I am the healthiest I have ever been.
I think that my experience will affect not
only me but others because I want to benefit people who are not pleased with
themselves and help them learn to eat right and get healthy. Also, I can better
understand people’s situations because I have been through them myself. I
believe that if you believe something you can achieve the goal, whether it be
losing weight, improving academics, or gaining a leadership position. My life
may have changed drastically, but I believe it changed for the better.
